ABOUT
MIANA is a New York City–based multidisciplinary artist who investigates states of discovery, perception, and transformation. Rooted in a faith-based upbringing, her work approaches artmaking as a spiritual and embodied process. One that translates visions and internal states into material form. Working in the mediums of painting, fashion, movement, and writing, MIANA makes the unseen perceptible through layered visual and performative languages.
Her work has been presented in exhibitions internationally and in New York City, including the New York Stock Exchange, Times Square, and the Oculus at the World Trade Center. At an early age, learning from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, MIANA first debuted her work. This marked the beginning of her artistic journey, which continues to bridge personal spirituality with public space and collective encounter.
